Author Guidelines

RADS Journal of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences publishes research work that facilitates scientific knowledge in pharmaceutical, applied medical and health sciences research. The aim of the journal is to publish new, contemporary, and quality research, including conceptual and empirical research papers.

Copyright: Submitting the manuscript to Journal means that the work has not been published before in any other journal, printed or online (except in the form of an abstract or an academic thesis), and it is also not in any way under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Waiver Policy: Submission and publication of manuscript is free of cost. There are no article processing and article submission charges.

Organization and Style of Manuscripts: Manuscript should be typed in MS Word, should be double spaced throughout A-4 size paper with clear margins on the both sides. Tables as well as illustrations should be typed and drawn on separate paper. Illustrations should be clear and of high resolution.

RADS Journal of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences will accept:

  1. Guests Editorials on important subjects of current interest
  2. Original articles
  3. Review articles
  4. Short communications
  5. Letters to the Editor

All manuscripts except Short Communication & Guest Editorials should contain the following:

a.  Title page:

The complete title of the manuscript, the name of all the authors with their affiliation addresses, for correspondence make sure that along with e- mail address and the complete postal address of anyone author, his/her telephone number (with country and area code) must also be written.

b. Abstract:

All original articles must be accompanied by an abstract that should be 200 – 250 words.

Abstract must be structured and it should state purpose of the study, background, methodology, results & conclusions.

c.  Keywords:

Below the abstract give few keywords not more than five.

d. Text:

It should include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion.

e.  Tables:

Should be separate from the text, numbered consecutively in Roman numerals and with explanatory caption.

f.  Figures:

It should also be separate from the text, numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and with explanatory caption.

g. Acknowledgement:

If desired, it should be included after the discussion and conclusion and before references.

h. References:

References should be in Vancouver style and numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. The reference should provide the following information: Author’s name with initials, year of the publication, full title of the cited article, name of the journal in which the article appeared (in abbreviated form), journal’s volume number and finally first and the last page number such as: Devi KV, Pai RS. Antiretrovirals: Need for an Effective Drug Delivery. Indian J. Pharm. Sci. 2006;68:1-6.

The manuscript should be accompanied by a Covering letter signed by corresponding authors.

Plagiarism Policy: Manuscripts should be checked for plagiarism before submission and not more than 19% of plagiarized matter should be present. The editorial body also scrutinizes the manuscripts for plagiarism and if found more than 19%, the respective authors are informed and required to modify the content of the manuscript.

Peer Review: All manuscripts submitted for publication are subjected to double-blind peer review by, usually three, neutral eminent experts; one is an editorial board member and the other two are external reviewers. Both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. This ensures objective and unbiased assessment of the manuscript by the reviewers. The review process may take 30-50 days. Decisions will be made as fast as possible, and reviewer(s) comments sent to the author immediately for revision.

The Editor-in-Chief may recommend the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript after considering the opinions of the independent referees, or he/she may take assistance and advice from other experts in the field, if needed. After reviewing of the manuscript by at least two independent experts, in addition to the assessment of the Editor, the decision is conveyed to the authors, which may be: (i) Accept without changes, (ii) Revisions required, or (iii) Reject.

The manuscripts accepted for publication will be typeset and proofs will be sent to the authors for any corrections prior to final publication.
